Raymond P. Tremblay

Raymond P. Tremblay, age 85, was united in Heaven with his granddaughter, Samantha and sister, Patricia on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022.

Ray was born on Feb. 18, 1937 in Marinette, Wis., to Wilfred and Taimi (Lahti) Tremblay. He was married to Joanne Schiltz on May 5, 1962 in Milwaukee. They recently celebrated 60 years together. Ray worked at Tomahawk Tissue for many years and later with Louisiana Pacific in the storeroom. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. His favorite times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ray is survived by his wife – Joanne Tremblay; daughters – Brenda (Gary) Jones, Jodi (John) Gunther, and Michelle (Randy) Boehlert all of Tomahawk; and five grandchildren, Jeremy (Sami), Daniel (Katie), Leeanne, Hunter, and Alexis. Ray is further survived by his sisters – Kathy (Jim) Talbacka of Ishpeming, Mich., and Diane Uimari of Marquette, Mich.; and three brothers-in-law – Walter “Ronnie” (Jean) Schiltz, Jerry (Sandy) Schiltz and Danny (Mary) Schiltz. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Samantha, a sister Patricia, and two brothers-in-law, Dave and Paul.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Ray Tremblay took place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy officiated. Visitation took place in the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the spring.
