For the Tomahawk Leader

MERRILL – The Tomahawk Hatchet hockey team faced the East Merrill Newman United (EMU) Bluejacks in a road matchup on Friday, Dec. 16 and came away with a convincing 11-1 victory.

Coach Chris Bembinster said the Hatchets are “really beginning to see what is successful and what isn’t.”

“They are making the play about the team more than any individual, and it is really showing,” Bembinster stated. “This team is taking shape, and it is a lot of fun to watch.”

The Tomahawk pucksters are scheduled to take part in a tournament in West Salem on Thursday, Dec. 29 and Friday, Dec. 30.
