Victoria ‘Vicki’ L. Denney

Victoria “Vicki” L. Denney, age 73, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital. Vicki was born in Antigo, Wis., on Sept. 10, 1949, to the late Clifford and Mary (Frink) Kramer. She was married to Richard “Duke” Denney on Sept. 30, 1995; he survives.

Vicki was a graduate of the Antigo High School. Her work experience included managing several fast-food restaurants and working and retiring from Semco Windows. Vicki was a wonderful homemaker and talented cook who took pride in her home and putting special touches on her food dishes. She enjoyed knitting and other crafts while her hands would allow and was always generous with her time and talents. Vicki and Duke loved to travel, most recently attending a Smoke Jumpers Convention in Idaho. She loved her family deeply and spent many noisy days with them and could appreciate the quiet days as well. Vicki was known for her sense of humor, her love for her four-legged friends, and the pure joy she found in almost everything she did.

Survivors include her husband, Richard “Duke” Denney, of Tomahawk; her children, Justin (Jessica) Connaher, of Eagle River, Alaska, Deavon Connaher, of Madison, Wis., John (Alyssa) Denney, of River Falls, Wis., Pam (Tim) DeSalvo, of Memphis, Tenn., and Susan Denney, of Portland, Ore.; her siblings, Dennis (Kelly) Kramer, Janet Malliett, Beth (Craig) Dickinson, Joel (Julie) Kramer, and Jane (Robert) Rasmussen; and her brother-in-law, Steven Babcock. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Steven, Lincoln, Leo, Jacob, Alyssa, Lauren, JoJo, and Kattie; her great-grandchildren, Vernadette, Diana, and Caleb, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Kramer; her mother, Mary Nelson; her stepfather, Bill Nelson; her sisters, Terri Babcock and Mary Kaye Kramer; her nieces, Gabrielle Malliett, Tara Leiter, and Sydney Rasmussen; and her nephew, Alex Rasmussen.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at the Rodeway Inn & Suites, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
