Barbara L. Freeman

Barbara L. Freeman, 90, of Brantwood, Wis., passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at Rib Lake Health Services.

Barb was born May 29, 1932 in Spirit, Wis., to Frank and Blanche (Ott) Krombholz. She was married to Alonzo A. Freeman on June 8, 1950. He passed away in 1999. She was an active member of the Spirit Baptist Church. Barb loved reading the Bible, going for long walks, and writing poetry. She especially loved family gatherings.

Surviving Barbara Freeman are six children, Charles Freeman, Brantwood, Diane Reese, Rhinelander, Frederick (Judy) Freeman, Brantwood, Gloria (John) Jagodinski, Wausau, Helen (Michael) Bacholl, Prentice, and Alonzo “Lonnie” (Tonya) Freeman, Brantwood. Barb is further survived by 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Edward Freeman, three sisters, three brothers, a grandson Jeremiah, and a great-granddaughter Deandra.

The Funeral Service for Barbara Freeman was held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m. at the Spirit Baptist Church. Pastor Duane Harper officiated. Burial followed in the Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery. The family received friends at the Spirit Baptist Church Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk, assisted the family with arrangements.
