Wendy J. Drew

Wendy J. Drew, 81, a longtime Tomahawk resident, passed away Nov. 22 at HeatherWood Assisted Living in Eau Claire, Wis.

Wendy was born March 31, 1941 in Tomahawk to Harold and Jean (Crapeau) Drew. She attended Tomahawk schools and received her teaching degree from UW-Oshkosh. She furthered her education with a Masters in Special Education. She worked in the Wausau School District for 32 years as a special education teacher.

Wendy will be fondly remembered by her family, former students and friends. She loved musicals, travel, reading, puzzles and the Packers. Wendy had a big heart and made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Wendy is survived by her sister – Paula (Rich) Steuernagel, Eau Claire and four nephews – Scott, Mike (Donna), Erik (Amber), and Andy (Lisa) Steuernagel. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister – Linda Drew, and a brother – John Drew.

A Memorial Service for Wendy Drew will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Susan Christian will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
