Eugene E. Steinbach

Eugene E. Steinbach, age 60, of Tomahawk, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. Eugene was born on Nov. 7, 1962 in Waukegan, Ill., to Emil and Mary (LaMartin) Steinbach. He was married to Tracy Denison on July 29, 1987 in Rhinelander at the courthouse.

Eugene enjoyed doing plumbing and had worked for Hetzel Plumbing for many years. Eugene also worked at the cranberry marsh in Tomahawk, in previous years, where he oversaw the season’s crop. He was known as a handyman to everyone, especially in the last few years. Eugene was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time bear hunting and taking joy rides. Most of all, he loved being with his family – especially his time with his children, Addison and grandson, Mason.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Tracy; sons, Chad (Katlin Cogar) Steinbach, Kyle (Ashley Beining) Steinbach of Tomahawk. He is further survived by his grandson, Mason Steinbach. Also surviving Eugene are a brother, Robert Steinbach of Tomahawk, sisters Jane (Wally) Callahan of Tomahawk, and Donna (Bill) Herron of Kentucky, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom, Step-daughter, Jamie Denison, and mother and father-in-law, Monica (Chuck) Baars and Ed Denison.

The Memorial Service for Eugene Steinbach will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 at Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Pastor Larry Mathein officiated. Visitation took place from 9 until the time of service at 11 a.m. Krueger Family Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
