Linda J. White

Linda J. White, 64, of Shelbyville, Ill., formerly of Tomahawk, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2022 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, Ill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Tomahawk. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Ill.

Linda was born on March 22, 1958 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Lawrence and Jean (Krejsa) White. She graduated from North Central Technical College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She worked for Johnson Level and Tool in Tomahawk for over 30 years as a level setter and in the shipping department. She was a serious stock car racing fan, both local and NASCAR. Her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. Linda was an avid football fan, following her favorite quarterbacks, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and Tom Brady. She was an outstanding waitress that ran the whole dining room by herself at Boomba Bar in Tomahawk for 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristin L. Johnston (Steven) of Shelbyville, Ill.; son, Jesse L. Tresness (Katie) of Medina, Minn.; five grandchildren, Lawrence Dale and Kaylynne Johnston, Elise and Hayley Tresness and one special grandson; uncle, Dick Krejsa; and many great friends in the Tomahawk area and her amazing stock car racing family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jean White; and her beloved dogs Jonah, Sam and Rudy.
