Darrel Leon Zeitelhack “Stork”, age 81, of W6339 County Rd. O, Tomahawk, passed away Nov. 8, 2022 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Darrel and his twin sister, Carol, were born on March 14, 1941 to the late Leo and Frances Zeitelhack. He was married to Jean Hautala on Oct. 3, 1964 in Tomahawk. Darrel worked as a carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 0310. He has been a carpenter all his life. Darrel enjoyed hunting and fishing. What he enjoyed most was cutting grass and plowing snow with his tractors. Darrel enjoyed helping his family and friends with any chore or task that was presented to him.

Darrel is survived by his three children – Donna (Jim) Beiler of Rhinelander, Terry (David Kukuczka) Zeitelhack of Rib Mountain and Warren (Suzanne) Zeitelhack of Grapeview, Wash. He is further survived by his twin sister – Carol Ketter of Hales Corners, a granddaughter – Hayley Lee, plus many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife – Jean, parents – Leo and Frances Zeitelhack, two sisters – Colleen Zeitelhack and Evelyn Sommi, and a step-brother – Bob Zeitelhack.

The Memorial Service took place at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Visitation took place from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Burial took place at Greenwood Cemetery.
