Gerald ‘Jerry’ Dvorak

Gerald “Jerry” Dvorak, 73, of Selmer Road, Tomahawk, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, Oct. 31 with his family by his side.

Jerry was born Sept. 30, 1949 in Phillips to Martin and Ellen (LeVasseur) Dvorak. He was married to Rose Thums on Aug. 9, 1969 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church near Rib Lake, Wis. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He worked for many years for General Telephone. He was a member of the Town of Maine Fire Department for 12 years, the Somo Fish and Game Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He was also a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving Jerry Dvorak is his wife – Rose; two sons – Christopher Dvorak of Minneapolis and Aaron Dvorak of Glen Flora. He is further survived by two grandsons – Andrew and Adam Dvorak. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers – Dennis and Robert Dvorak and a sister – Shirley (Gerald) McCumber.

The Mass of Christian Burial with Military rites was held on on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, 11 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Louis Marram Reddy officiated. The family received friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at 11 a.m.
