LCHD holding two adult walk-in flu shot clinics in November

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) announced on Wednesday, Oct. 26 that it will hold two adult walk-in flu shot clinics in November.

The clinics will be held at LCHD, 607 N. Sales St., Merrill, on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Flu vaccines will be available while supplies last.

Quadrivalent flu vaccines will be offered. Those interested in receiving a high dose flu vaccine can contact LCHD at 715-536-0307 prior to the clinic to ensure there is an adequate supply.

The cost of the quadrivalent flu vaccine is $42.00. Cost for the high dose flu vaccine is $90.00. Traditional Medicare, Security Health Plan (Essence, Esteem and Spirit) and Railroad Retirement are accepted. LCHD said it is unable to bill any other Medicare Advantage Plans, private insurance (Humana, United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.), or Medical Assistance. An insurance card is needed. Cash, checks or credit cards are accepted for those without accepted insurance plans.

Individuals are asked to wear face masks at clinics.

Those who wish to get a flu shot after Wednesday, Nov. 9 must schedule an appointment with LCHD at 715-536-0307.
