For the Tomahawk Leader

RHINELANDER – A free one-hour program designed to help people recognize common signs of Alzheimer’s disease and know what to watch for in themselves and others will be held in the Northwoods next month.

The 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s program is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Oneida County, 100 W. Keenan St., Rhinelander, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

A release from the Alzheimer’s Association said the program will explore typical age-related changes, describe common signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia, offer tips for how to approach someone about memory concerns, explain the importance of early detection and benefits of diagnosis, detail possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process and identify helpful Alzheimer’s Association and community resources.
