Tomahawk’s Thomas Reiter among Nicolet College Law Enforcement Recruit Academy graduates

For the Tomahawk Leader

RHINELANDER – Thomas Reiter of Tomahawk was among nine individuals who recently graduated from Nicolet College’s Law Enforcement Recruit Academy.

Each graduate is each now eligible to be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Justice as law enforcement officers in the state, a release from Nicolet said.

“The challenging 720-hour program included a mix of classroom and hands-on scenario training to give students the skills necessary to respond safely and effectively to a multitude of different situations,” Nicolet stated.

Nicolet said many of the recent graduates are already employed by area departments, and the others are expected to be soon.

Along with Reiter, graduating from the academy were Nora Fourez, Bruce Crossing, Mich.; Austin Calderon, Marenisco, Mich.; Maddison Raabe, Williams Bay; Jacobe Rhode, Antigo; Autumn Dennee, Crandon; Ian Conkey, Rhinelander; Graeme Biskobing, Rhinelander; and Thomas McGeshick, Crandon.

Nicolet will start another Recruit Academy on Jan. 30, 2023. Individuals interested in attending can contact Recruit Academy Director Tim Gerdmann at 715-365-4535 or [email protected]
