Football: Tomahawk routed by Clintonville in final game of season

CLINTONVILLE – The Tomahawk Hatchet football team traveled to Clintonville on Friday, Oct. 14 and fell by a score of 46 to 0.

The Hatchets tallied 91 total yards in the final game of the season, while the Truckers racked up 434 yards.

Tomahawk struggled to get the run game going, rushing 17 times for -14 yards. Clintonville rushed 27 times for 221 yards.

Hatchet quarterback Tyler Jablonski completed nine of 24 pass attempts for 105 yards. Zack Friske led the way in receiving, hauling in four passes for 88 yards. The Truckers threw for 213 yards.

The Hatchets had a difficult time converting on third down, going 0-12. On fourth down, Tomahawk went 1-3. The Truckers went 4-8 and 1-1 on third and fourth downs, respectively.

Tomahawk’s six penalties cost them 65 yards, while Clintonville committed three penalties for 15 yards.

The Hatchets ended the season with a 4-6 overall record, going 2-5 in the Northwoods Football Conference.
