TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Hatchet volleyball team hosted Dig Pink night and took on Medford last week.

Dig Pink

The Tomahawk Hatchet volleyball team swept Northland Pines on Dig Pink night on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

The scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 25-12.

Coach Keith Hanse explained that the team held a fundraiser, working with Up North Nutrition on Saturday, Sept. 24.

“They presold tickets for a shake and a tea, and Up North donated a large portion of those sales back to Tomahawk volleyball,” Hanse said.

The team sold Dig Pink T-shirts and did a 50/50 raffle last Tuesday, ultimately raising a total of $2,095.00 for Ties That Bind Us, a local cancer support group.

“It was a great night at the fieldhouse with a packed crowd, and the girls played excellent in all phases of the game,” Hanse stated.
