Dare to Dream: Milestone resident Joan Frasier enjoys Jeep ride

TOMAHAWK – On Tuesday, Sept. 20, Joan Frasier went for a long-awaited Jeep ride.
She had made a comment one day to Lisa, Culinary Coordinator, that she would love a ride in her Jeep with the top off and really would love to “go mudding.”
Well, unfortunately, for safety reasons, we couldn’t take her mudding, but offered her a ride with the top off to let her feel one of the last summer days with wind blowing in her hair.
Naturally, she accepted the offer.
She noted her last ride in a Jeep was when her son, Phil, took her on rough terrain over brush and stumps, which she enjoyed.
Joan said this has been the best couple of days for “this 80-year-old,” as she returned from visiting her son last week. Joe had taken her out on the St. Croix River on his speed boat, where the water was choppy with big waves.
Joan stated, during her long-awaited ride in the Jeep with the top off, “This is just great.”
We had planned the trip last week when it was sunny, but due to thousands of motorcycles in Tomahawk for the Fall Ride, we felt it was best to wait.
The sun wasn’t shining, but her smile sure was!
