Following health issues, family launches GoFundMe for Juli Sundquist of JD’s Pumpkin Patch

TOMAHAWK – For years, JD’s Pumpkin Patch, located at N5276 Nibler Rd. near Tomahawk, has been a fall tradition for many families. From pumpkins and gourds, to tractor-pulled hayrides through the woods, to many photo opportunities with fall decorations, Dave and Juli Sundquist have welcomed young and old to their farm to celebrate the fall season.

Early this summer, Juli experienced some serious health issues and spent four weeks in a hospital over an hour from her home. Because Dave spent so much time traveling back and forth to be with her, work on the farm fell by the wayside. They weren’t able to tend to the pumpkin fields, so unfortunately, they will not be opening up to the public this year.

Juli’s daughter Kailey Anderson has created a GoFundMe page for Juli. She notes that Juli still faces long months of rehabilitation. The medical bills paired with lack of income from the farm this year have made things difficult for Dave and Juli. She says that any funds collected will be used for medical bills and to keep the farm going in the future.

To help support Juli and the farm, go to www.gofundme.com and search “Juli and JD’s Pumpkin Patch.”

Kailey suggests considering donating what you would have spent on pumpkins this year, had they been open.
