Lois Johnson-Langlois, age 92, of Tomahawk, passed away at Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022.
Lois was born on Dec. 12, 1929 in Chicago to Charles and Alma (Kuhlen) Kirkwood. She was married in 1951 to Melvin Johnson. Together, she and Melvin had three children. Lois and Melvin had a summer cabin on Lake Alice. In 1978, they made Tomahawk their permanent home. Melvin passed away in 1995. Lois was very involved with The Red Hats, Quilters and Grace Lutheran Church. Lois was later married to Norman Langlois.
Lois is survived by her children – Melvin Jr.(Kurt) of Lower Lake, Calif., Nancy (Charles) Sikora of Circle Pines, Minn., and Keith (Diane) Johnson of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; three grandchildren – Jenna (Ryan) Nesbit, Derek and Kyle Johnson; two great-grandchildren and Norm’s family – Michael, Lynda, Kay, Chuck, Bill, David and Elaine.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husbands – Melvin and Norm.
Visitation for Lois was held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Funeral Service took place following visitation at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. Burial took place at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill.
