Lois D. Wyland

Lois D. Wyland, age 80, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, Aug 24, 2022, at her home. Lois was born in Wausau, Wis., on July 8, 1942, to the late Roman and Marion (Johnson) Heinz. She was married to Kenneth Wyland on Dec. 2, 1977, at Grace Lutheran Church; he survives.

Lois grew up and attended school in Wausau and later worked as an assistant registrar at Northcentral Technical College for many years. Lois enjoyed gardening and also enjoyed making countless Afghans for veterans and nursing homes. She loved the outdoors, cutting wood with Ken and helped build their current home on 40 acres. Ken felt everything good that came into their lives was because of Lois. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 44 years, Kenneth Wyland, of Tomahawk; and her three daughters, Torri (Jerry) Gillis, of Green Bay, Wis., Tara (Terry) Campbell, also of Green Bay, and Linda (Jimmie) Wyland, of South Carolina. She is further survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Marion; two sons, Todd Rapp and Jamie Wyland; and her daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Mike Benzshawel. In accordance with Lois’ wishes, her life will be celebrated privately by her family. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family.
