Lions Club’s Thrilla on the Grilla once again brings flavor to downtown Tomahawk

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Contestants and attendees alike braved the drizzle for some sizzle at the Tomahawk Lions Club’s Thrilla on the Grilla rib and side cooking contest, held in downtown Tomahawk on Saturday, Aug. 13.

In a Facebook post, the Lions Club noted that downtown was “once again home to irresistible aromas, award-winning flavors, friendly competition and great folks.”

In the Judges’ Choice category, Tomahawk Main Street Inc.’s ribs took first place, followed by LP Building Solutions and Geiss Meat Service.

Geiss took home the Judge’s Choice trophy for sides, with Century 21 Best Way Realty and LP rounding out the top three.

Main Street also took the top spot in the People’s Choice category, followed by LP and the Symonds family.

“Thanks again to all who participated in and supported this amazing event,” the Lions Club said.
