Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: July 18, 2022

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, July 18:

On 07-11-2022 a deputy was on patrol observed a UTV being operated at a high rate of speed crossing USH 8 at Bill France Way in the Town of Bradley. The deputy stopped the UTV and found that the driver a Tomahawk man, 30, to be showing signs of impairment. After a series of SFSTs the driver was taken into custody for operating a UTV under the influence. He was later released to a responsible party.  

07-15-2022 deputies were dispatched to an address on Bill France Way in the Town of Bradley for a domestic dispute where it was reported that a male was beating a female and there were young children present. The suspect an Oshkosh man, 29, had left the scene prior to deputies arriving. After a short search he was located, where he had crashed the vehicle he left in. The suspect actively fought with deputies, which resulted in one of the deputies to deploy their taser. Subject continued to fight with deputies, and while being placed in the squad for transport to jail, he spit on one of the deputies’ face. The following charges will be requested against the suspect: Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, intimidation victim/use or attempt force, resisting or obstructing, throw or expel bodily substances, battery or threat to an officer and probation violation. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and held for court. The victim of the original domestic received minor injuries but did not seek treatment, and the children were not hurt. The deputies were not hurt during the arrest, and the suspect was transported to the hospital prior to the jail for medical clearance.

During this week period, there were five reported car-deer crashes.
