LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) this week highlighted numerous COVID-19 testing options it has available.

“As the cases of COVID-19 fluctuate on a day-to-day basis, it is important to keep in mind all of the no-charge testing options that are available at the Lincoln County Health Department,” LCHD said. “As a health department, we want you to stay safe during these unpredictable times and remind you that if you have symptoms or plan on having a get together, it is important to test beforehand.”

Antigen rapid COVID-19 testing

Individuals have the opportunity to receive an antigen rapid test performed by trained staff at LCHD. Individuals must be at least two years old. There is no charge for the test. Results are provided within two to four hours.

PCR COVID-19 testing

The nasal swab is performed by trained LCHD staff. Individuals must be at least 12 months old. There is no charge for the test. Results are provided within three to five days.

Antigen rapid and PCR COVID-19 testing appointment times are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at LCHD, 607 N. Sales St., Merrill. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. To pre-register for the antigen rapid test or the PCR test, visit www.bit.ly/3O6RBai. For assistance with registration, call 715-539-2584.

Antigen rapid COVID-19 at-home test kits

Community members have the opportunity to pick up free antigen rapid at-home test kits from LCHD Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tests provide results within 15 minutes. Individuals must be at least two years old to test and at least 18 years old to pick up the test. Supplies are limited.

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order a third round of at-home tests at no charge. To order an at-home test, visit www.covid.gov/ or call 1-800-232-0233.

More COVID-19 testing centers can be found at www.bit.ly/3O3Bdrb or by calling 715-539-2584.
