Gail E. Wallis

Gail E. Wallis, age 78, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at her home. Gail was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 22, 1944, to the late William and Violet (Scheel) Rogers. Gail was formerly married to Robert Wallis, Sr., and then later to Alan Bauman.

Gail graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, and later received her degree in nursing, attending both Nicolet College and Northcentral Technical College. Gail was a registered nurse at Golden Age Nursing Home and Riverview Terrace Nursing Home for many years. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Gail loved trips to the casino, gardening, cooking, and above all, sharing time with her family. She held a special place in her heart for Stone Lake, where she enjoyed spending many summers with her cousins. Gail was kind and caring to everyone. She spent much of her time helping others and her family with whatever she could. Gail was the cornerstone of her family and the glue that held it together. She meant the world to her son, Bob, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by them beyond measure.

Survivors include her son, Robert Wallis Jr., of Tomahawk; her brother, Raymond (Cheryl) Rogers, of Wausau, Wis.; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Katie, Kylie (fiancé, Chuck) and Adam (Hannah); her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madisyn, Cayden, Bristol, Bennett, and Hudson.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, William and Violet; and her daughter, Lisa.

Funeral Services for Gail Wallis were held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 1 p.m., from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Pastor Julie Sinkula officiated. The family received friends for visitation at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Burial followed at the Greenwood Cemetery.
