Kurth, Larson named Iron Hatchets of the Year

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – The Hatchet Weightlifting Club recently announced that Amalie Kurth and Ryan Larson were named the club’s Iron Hatchets of the Year.

Coach Andy Peissig explained that Iron Hatchets of the Year are voted on by high school student athletes who have been devoted to being in the weight room.

“The student athletes vote for the person that is always lifting, is in the top 25 of squat, hang clean, bench, has a positive attitude, teaches younger athletes proper lifting techniques and promotes others being in the weight room,” Peissig said.
