A.C.T. sponsoring National Day of Prayer observance in Tomahawk May 5

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – The Associated Clergy of Tomahawk (A.C.T.) will sponsor an event observing the 70th National Day of Prayer.

A.C.T. said the public is invited to the event at City Hall, 23 N. 2nd St., Tomahawk, on Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m., to “pray for the welfare of our nation, its government leaders and law enforcement officials at all levels, for members of the military, our educational and business leaders and employees, and all citizen concerns.”

“This year’s theme is Exalt the Lord, Who Has Established Us, based on Colossians 2: 6-7,” A.C.T. stated. “Pastor Lisa Weaver will introduce the theme before we pray.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a stool or lawn chair if standing is difficult.

Following the prayer event, attendees will be invited to “Prayer Walk” in small groups throughout the community, praying for residents and businesses of the Tomahawk area.
