TOMAHAWK – CIS Insurance recently presented the Nokomis Fire Department with a check in the amount of $1,000.00 on behalf of Wausau Mutual Insurance Company.
Each year, area organizations are invited to apply for this grant.
Chief Don Richert said the funds will be used to assist the department in acquiring necessary PPE (personal protective equipment), especially gloves, for volunteer firefighters.
