Rosann Louise Fictum

Rosann Louise Fictum, 61, of Elkhorn, Wis., entered into her heavenly home on March 13, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Rosann was born on Jan. 3, 1961 in Tomahawk to Tellasphore (Butch) and Margaret (Marge) Turgeon. She was the 1961 New Year’s baby, being the first baby born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk that year. Rosann attended Tomahawk High School and graduated with the class of 1979. She was very proud to be a Tomahawk Hatchet and several years after high school she joined a group of alumni cheerleaders and cheered on the Hatchet football team once again!

After high school she attended UW-Green Bay as a music major. Along with playing the flute, Rosann was a talented baton twirler and performed with the UW-Green Bay marching band in 1979 during the halftime show at the first Monday Night Football game ever played at Lambeau Field. UW-Green Bay is also where she met her husband, Brian Fictum. They were married on July 25, 1981 and lived at Fort Benning, Ga., while Brian served in the U.S. Army. In 1983, they moved back to Wisconsin and settled in Milwaukee. Together, they had two children, Kathleen and David.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Rosann. She loved the time she and Brian spent fishing and camping. She also enjoyed attending and listening to her husband’s professional music performances. Rosann cherished building memories with her children, grandson, family, and friends. Some of her hobbies included baking, watching the wildlife in her backyard, playing with her dog Darla, picking strawberries, gardening, and dancing. Family meant everything to Rosann and she was proud to be one of 10 siblings. Rosann was a dedicated, hard worker and in her lifetime she was a waitress, cake decorator, an aerobic instructor, a CNC machinist, and an assembly line worker.

Loved ones that will miss Rosann until they meet again are her husband, Brian, Elkhorn, her daughter, Kathleen (Jon) Borlee, Green Bay, her son David Fictum, Elkhorn, her grandson, Bradford Borlee, and her siblings Dawn (Tony Garry) Turgeon, Mounds View, Minn., Susan (Stuart) Lepera, Boynton Beach, Fla., Randy (Carey) Turgeon, Farmington, Minn., Edward (Angela) Turgeon, Kim Koth, Bill (Leitta) Turgeon, Mary (Joe) Jones, Brian Turgeon, and Dana Turgeon, all of Tomahawk. Rosann will also be missed by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Rosann was preceded in death by her parents, Tellasphore and Margaret Turgeon and a niece, Sherry Koth.
