Tomahawk Pee Wee hockey teams take part in State championship tournaments

SOMERSET – The Tomahawk Hockey Association Pee Wee teams participated in the State championship tournaments this past weekend.

The Tomahawk Hockey Association Pee Wee 3A team won the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) Peewee 12U 3A State Championship. The tournament was held in Somerset on March 12 and 13. Tomahawk defeated Waupaca by a score of 5-1, then took down Somerset 4-3 before winning the championship game against Tomah/Sparta 2-1. Players include Hudson Seymour, Cole Peterson, Braxton Stromberg, Oliver Childers, Colin Black, Max Larson, Teddy Fredrickson, Cami Flohr, Abe Flohr, Breck Stromberg and Jake Albert. Coaches are Jason Stromberg, Jake Flohr and Jay Peterson.

 

The Tomahawk Hockey Association Pee Wee 3B team played at the WAHA Peewee 12U 3B State Championship tournament in Rhinelander on March 12 and 13, where they placed 5th as Consolation Champions. Tomahawk fell in their first game against Waupaca by a score of 4-2, then defeated Baldwin 7-0. The squad wrapped up the tournament with a 3-0 win over Manitowoc. The team is made up of Joseph Zastrow, Jordyn Carew, Karson Hanse, Amirah Dickens, Jack Reilly, Carson Lamer, Ben Cerny, Kaeden Bethel, Rocco Carew, Zack Larson and Connor Johnson and is coached by Mike Reilly, Justin Cerny, Andrew Lamer and Joe Carew.
