Hatchet skaters win WAHA Bantam 14U 3A Championship

MARSHFIELD – The Tomahawk Hatchets won the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) Bantam 14U 3A Championship this weekend.
The tournament was held in Marshfield on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6.
The Hatchets began their run to the championship with a game against Shawano on Saturday, March 5. Tomahawk ultimately came away with a 6-0 shutout win.
Later that day, the Tomahawk skaters would blank their next opponents, Somerset, by a score of 4-0.
Tomahawk faced Ashland in the championship game on Sunday, March 6. The Hatchet skaters emerged with a 3-2 win, securing the championship.
Following Tomahawk in first place were Ashland, second; Somerset, third; Tomah/Sparta, fourth; Sauk Prairie, fifth; Waupun, sixth; Marshfield, seventh; and Shawano, eighth.
The championship Hatchet team was made up of Brody Klebenow, Alex Petrowski, Beau Stromberg, Erik Grunenwald, Brayden Lamer, Ryker Remington, Max Seeger, Caiden Reichelt, Cade Tiedemann, Michael Samundsen, Landyn Seymour, Mason Jaecks, Jonah Dickens, Rex Reilly and Hudson Seymour.
The squad was coached by Dewey Reilly and Jason Stromberg.
