Spring Election candidate information to be available via Vote411 March 15

For the Tomahawk Leader

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – Information about candidates in the April 5 Spring Election will be available online via Vote411 on Tuesday, March 15, a release from the League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) said.

The Voter’s Guide can be found at www.Vote411.org.

LWVNOW said the guide is made available by the League of Women Voters with information provided directly by the candidates running in the local elections.

The Voter’s Guide allows voters to compare, side by side, candidate responses to questions of interest to the voters, LWVNOW stated, adding that the League is continuing to work to contact all local candidates to invite them to participate in the Voter’s Guide.

“Following the Primary Election, the League received feedback from local voters that the Voter’s Guide had been helpful in learning about and comparing the candidates on their ballot,” LWVNOW said. “The League would like to thank all of the candidates who took the time to let voters know who they are and how they will serve the community if elected on April 5.”

Candidates who have not submitted information may do so by contacting LWVNOW at [email protected] before Monday, March 14.

The LWVNOW encompasses Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties. The local league belongs to the state and national League of Women Voters, “a non-partisan organization devoted to helping members and fellow citizens develop educated political opinions and act upon them through the democratic process.” The league’s monthly meetings and sponsored events are open to all. Contact the league by emailing [email protected] or visiting www.lwvnow.org.
