March LWVNOW meeting to focus on election process as April 5 approaches

For the Tomahawk Leader

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – With the April 5 Spring Elections on the horizon, the March meeting of the League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) will take a closer look at the election process.

The virtual meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8.

Tracy Hartman, Oneida County Clerk and Town of Crescent Clerk, will share her experiences in her roles and explain how the election process works locally.

“As you head to your voting place on Election Day, have you ever thought about what is involved in the election process in your community?” a release from LWVNOW said. “How were the people who greet you at the check-in and provide your ballot selected, and what does their day at the polling place look like? Perhaps you have even thought about volunteering on Election Day.”

The LWVNOW encompasses Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties.
