Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 21, 2022

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Feb. 21:

A woman, 40, was injured when her snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree in the Town of Harrison Monday evening. She was airlifted to a local hospital.

A Wisconsin Rapids woman, 30, was arrested Monday evening on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, felony bail jumping, three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and operating a motor vehicle after revocation following a traffic stop on County Rd. K near USH 51. A Wausau man, 36, was also arrested following the traffic stop on felony probation and parole warrant.

Two inmates of the Lincoln County Jail are facing charges following an altercation in the jail Tuesday morning. A Merrill man, 26, was charged with disorderly conduct and a Merrill man, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct and strangulation/suffocation following the incident.

A Merrill man, 24, was arrested on charges of bail jumping, disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property following an incident in the Town of Merrill Tuesday evening.

A Tomahawk man, 42, was cited for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated and refusal to take chemical test after deputies responded to a snowmobile crash in the Town of Bradley Thursday night.

A man, 52, from New London, Wis., received non-life-threatening injuries following a snowmobile crash Friday afternoon in the Town of Russell.

Deputies responded to 20 vehicles in the ditch, 10 property damage crashes and two crashes with minor injuries as a result of Friday’s snowstorm.

A Mosinee woman, 53, received minor injuries following a snowmobile crash in the Town of Scott Saturday afternoon.

A Merrill man, 68, was stopped and cited for travelling 82 MPH on Fairview Rd. in the Town of Scott Saturday evening.

A man, 30, from New Berlin, Wis., was arrested for second offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated early Sunday morning after a deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on USH 51 north of Merrill.

A Mosinee man, 26, was arrested Sunday night on charges of criminal trespass, burglary and five counts of bail jumping after he was located in a home in the Town of Merrill.
