Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 14, 2022

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Feb. 14:

An Irma man, 38, was arrested on a probation warrant and cited for defective windshield and operating after revocation following a traffic stop on County Rd A in the Township of Bradley Monday afternoon.

A Schofield man, 47, was stopped and cited for travelling 82mph on State Rd 17 north of Gleason in the Town of Russell Monday afternoon.

Lincoln County Deputies, along with the Pine River Fire Department and Merrill EMS, responded to a residence in the Town of Pine River when a man, 48, was reported to be injured after falling into a silo Monday afternoon. The man was transported by helicopter to a local hospital for his injuries.

A Merrill woman, 35, was arrested Tuesday evening for theft of gas in the Town of Russell.

A Conover woman, 25, was stopped and cited for travelling 92 MPH on USH 51 near County Rd. S in the Town of Bradley Wednesday morning.

A Merrill man, 55, was arrested early Thursday morning for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated on Center Rd. near County Rd. W in the Town of Pine River.

A Mosinee woman, 23, was arrested for second offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after a deputy located a vehicle in the ditch on Joe Snow Rd. near Lake Rd. in the Town of Scott early Wednesday morning. The driver was also cited for operating after revocation, inattentive driving, and driving too fast for conditions.

A Town of Russell resident was the victim of a scam Friday. The victim was contacted by an alleged Amazon employee indicating there had been multiple charges on the account and several people apparently had access to the account. The “Amazon employee” was given access to the victim’s phone and banking information and $300 was removed from the account.

A Wausau man, 44, was stopped and cited for travelling 79mph on County Rd W in the Town of Pine River Saturday morning.
