Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 7, 2022

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Feb. 7:

Two Merrill men avoided injury following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Rd. W and Center Rd. in the Town of Pine River Monday afternoon. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, and the intersection was blocked for over three hours until the scene was cleared.

A Merrill man, 21, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the Town of Merrill Monday afternoon.

An Irma man, 45, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Tuesday evening following a traffic stop in the City of Tomahawk Wednesday morning.

A Town of Merrill resident was the victim of burglary on Wednesday when they found their garage had been entered and found two BB guns had been stolen. A man, 38, from Deforest, Wis., was cited for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated Saturday morning on State Rd. 64 near County Rd. X in the Town of Pine River.

An Athens man, 21, was stopped and cited for first offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated Saturday evening on W. Main St. in the city of Merrill after a deputy observed the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign then strike a guardrail in the area of S. Alexander St.
