Tomahawk Main Street donates Honor Banner funds to local American Legion, VFW posts

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Main Street, Inc., recently made donations to American Legion Post 93 and VFW Post 2687, both located in Tomahawk.

The donations of $500.00 came from funds raised by Tomahawk Main Street’s Honor Banners program. Honor banners pay tribute to local veterans, featuring names, photos and ranks. They are hung along W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Tomahawk.

“While we will never be able to fully express our gratitude to all the brave men and women who are members of our military, Tomahawk Main Street took one small step towards showing them just how much we appreciate their sacrifices and dedication,” Tomahawk Main Street said in a release. “We are blessed to have these non-profit entities in our hometown, continuing to support our veterans, and Tomahawk Main Street is thrilled to be able to help support their mission with this gesture.”
