Rosalie ‘Rosie’ Burclaff
Rosalie “Rosie” Burclaff, age 81, of Schofield, entered the loving arms of her Savior on Dec. 28, 2021.
Rosie was born in Tomahawk on Jan. 22, 1940, to the late Lawrence and Grace (Parshall) Blum. She married Arnold J. Burclaff on June 1, 1963 in Tomahawk. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Music was influential throughout Rosie’s life, playing polka in their band, “Rosie & Arnie,” in the early ‘60s. After the passing of Arnie, she started “Rosie’s Trio.” Aside from music, she enjoyed birdwatching, particularly cardinals, doing puzzles, watching the Brewers and Packers, and she always had a sweet tooth. Family was most important to her. She often found herself working multiple jobs at once to support her family as a single mother.
Rosie is survived by her daughters, Dawn Burclaff, Schofield, and Brenda Lee, Kronenwetter; grandchildren, Alivia Rose Guillaume, Daniel Burclaff, and Landen Guillaume; great-granddaughter, Lillian Rose Felix; and sister-in-law, Eileen Bushar. She is further survived by her cat, Rascal, and dog, Jingles. She is preceded in death by her sister, Marge Peterson; and brother, Wally Bushar.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at Christ Community Church, Schofield, with Rev. Dr. Robin Wilde officiating. Interment will be held at a later time.
