Lois L. Wise, age 91, of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. Lois was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on April 10, 1930, to the late Louis and Lucile (Haddy) Lembcke.
Lois was a 1948 graduate of the Tomahawk High School and a member of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. She was a talented knitter who was taught from a very young age by knitting mittens to send to the soldiers. Lois was instrumental in opening the Tomahawk Community Thrift Store, where she spent a lot of her time. She was an animal lover who enjoyed having and spoiling many dogs throughout the years.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Shirley) Wynn, and Brett (Kathy) Wynn; her daughters, Kathie (Sam) Mahzad, Wendy Gilley, and Sally Wynn; her daughter-in-law, Debra Wynn; and her sister, Florence Livesey. She is further survived by her 10 grandchildren in addition to several great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lucile; and her son, Jeffrey Wynn.
Memorials are appreciated to the Tomahawk Community Thrift Store.
A celebration of life gathering for Lois Wise will be held in the spring.
