Darren J. Burdick

Darren J. Burdick, age 56, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. Darren was born in Tomahawk on April 23, 1965, to the late Daryl and Veronica (Bogie) Burdick.

Darren was a lifelong resident of Tomahawk, graduating from Tomahawk High School in 1983. After graduation, he entered the workforce, beginning employment at Harley-Davidson in 1988. He retired just weeks ago after over 30 years with Harley. Darren loved riding his motorcycle and was active in many charity rides and fundraisers. He had a huge, giving heart and cherished the time he was given caring for his mom and adored spending time with his grandchildren. Darren was an animal lover who owned several dogs over the years. He was teased often of the special place he had in his heart for his many chickens he tended to throughout the years. Darren will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Burdick; his brothers, Daryl Burdick, Dale Burdick, and Dennis (Sara) Burdick; and his sisters, Deborah (Doug) Plachetka, and DaNell (Steve) Christian. He is further survived by his grandchildren, MehKynzee “Bug”, Maycee “Penny”, Robert “Jay-Man”, and Clara; in addition to his “unspoken children” and friends, Corey Spoehr, Cody (Sierra) Kaehne, and Cheyanne (John) Webie, whom all shared the utmost respect toward Darren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daryl and Veronica; his nephew and Godson, David Burdick; and his dog, Tucker.
