Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Jan. 24, 2022

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Jan. 24:

A Neenah man, 28, and a woman, 30, from Denmark, Wis., were arrested on multiple charges Monday morning after deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Brandenburg Ave. in the Town of Scott. The charges for the male include misappropriate ID information to avoid penalty, probation violation and take and drive motor vehicle without owner’s consent, and the woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and take and drive vehicle without owner’s consent, two counts.

A female inmate of the Lincoln County Jail, 20, was charged with battery by prisoner Monday evening following an altercation in the jail.

A Wausau woman, 32, was arrested Tuesday evening for first offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after a deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Rio Grande Rd. near Gold Dr.

A Town of King resident was the victim of a scam on Tuesday. The victim received a pop up window on their computer stating they were hacked. The victim called the number claiming to be from Microsoft on the pop up and were told that $1,800.00 was charged to betonline.com and they needed to report it. The victim was then allegedly connected to an FBI agent in the fraud department. The victim was instructed to purchase $17, 500.00 in bitcoin and provide the information through a QR Code.

A Merrill man, 58, put his vehicle through the ice off Georges Rd. in the Town of Merrill Wednesday morning. He was not injured.

A Merrill woman, 41, received minor injuries following a vehicle rollover on Lake Rd. near Joe Snow Rd. Wednesday morning in the Town of Scott.

A Merrill man, 51, was arrested for multiple bail jumping charges and cited for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated Friday night in the Town of Scott after deputies responded to a snowmobile crash. No injuries were reported.

A Merrill man, 68, was arrested for domestic battery in the Town of Merrill Friday afternoon.

One person received non-life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon following a crash on USH 51 near Irma.

A Merrill man, 19, was stopped and cited for absolute sobriety early Sunday morning on County Rd. JJ near Hillside Dr. in the Town of Merrill.

A Merrill man, 23, was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property Sunday morning following an incident in the Town of Merrill.

Deputies responded to 12 vehicles in the ditch, five property damage crashes and one deer crash last week.
