John ‘Jack’ R. Neidlein

John “Jack” R. Neidlein, age 83, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at Minocqua Health & Rehab in Minocqua, Wis., where he had been residing for the last four months.

John was born June 24, 1938, in Spencer, Wis., to the late John T. and Armella (Straub) Neidlein. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960 where he was stationed in Germany. He later moved to Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., where he drove heavy equipment for a local construction outfit. John then moved to Tripoli, Wis., where he drove a logging truck until he later retired.

John will be missed by many friends and family. He enjoyed many adventures in life that included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, country music, and on several occasions, had traveled to Branson, Mo., to enjoy various country music shows.

John is survived by three sons, Michael (Pamela) Neidlein, of Wisconsin Rapids, Kenneth (Lisa) Neidlein, of Park Falls, Wis., and Steven Neidlein, also of Park Falls; one daughter, Patricia (Mark) Lutz, of Wisconsin Rapids; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara (Darwin) Tysver; and two brothers, Richard (Karen) Neidlein and Thomas Neidlein.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Armella; one sister, Mary Link; one brother, William; the mother to his children, Rita Neidlein; and his daughter-in-law, Colleen Neidlein.

In lieu of a memorial service, the family will be celebrating the life of John “Jack” Neidlein at a private event in the summer.
