Donald L. Lukes, age 90, of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Country Terrace Assisted Living under the care of Compassus Hospice. Don was born on Aug. 26, 1931, to the late Vinton and Helen (Miller) Lukes.
Don grew up in Tomahawk, where he attended school. He later moved to Mequon, Wis., and worked at Megal Construction in Menomonee Falls, Wis., as a mason for many years. He returned to the Northwoods, living in Harshaw for some time. Don was very social and outgoing and loved visiting with his large family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and loved shooting pool and gambling.
Survivors include his two sons, Donald (Nancy) Lukes, and David (Julie) Lukes; and his three daughters, Kathryn Jerabek, Terry (Jim) Myren, and Kerry (Mick) Fetzer. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Vinton and Helen; three sisters, and four brothers.
In accordance with wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.
