For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Firefighters Keith Ploeckeman (Nokomis Fire Department) and Melissa Nieman (Tomahawk Fire Department) recently presented awards to Tomahawk Elementary School students who were the winners of the departments’ annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest.

This year’s contest slogan was “Learn the sounds of fire safety.”

The posters will be displayed and judged at the Wisconsin State Firefighters Association convention in March.

“Congratulations to Dawson K., Quinn C., Nora B., and Anna E!” a post on the Tomahawk Fire Department’s Facebook page said.
