Billy L. Marvin

Billy L. Marvin, age 78, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at Aspirus Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Billy was born in Seattle, Wash., on Jan. 24, 1943, to the late Leonard and Mildred (Burgess) Marvin. He served in the United States Navy upon the USS Intrepid. Billy was married to Nancy Myers in June of 1966; she survives.

Billy moved with his family to the Tomahawk area when he was five years old. He returned to Tomahawk after serving in the military and entered the workforce. He retired after 20 years from the PDM Bridge Corp in Wausau, Wis. Billy enjoyed his retirement, spending time outdoors, painting, and cherished time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Marvin; his children, Annette (Mark) Winter, Andrew (Jennifer) Marvin, Suzanne (Jamie) Skees, Nicholas (Stephanie) Marvin, and Lindsay (Joseph) Rider; his grandchildren, Ryan Winter, Zac Stoklasa, Nathan Winter, Madison Winter, Jada Rider, Maria Marvin, Andre Rider, Mark Marvin, and Liam Marvin; his great-grandson, Hunter Rondeau; and his sister, Beverly Calhoun.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mildred; and his brother, Leon.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Billy’s life. Memorials are appreciated to the family and can be mailed to Suzanne Skees at 2558 Prairie Lake Road in Tomahawk.
