Roxanne Consolver has filed paperwork to run against Taskay, according to City of Tomahawk Clerk/Treasurer Amanda Bartz.

Taskay announced his intention to seek another term on Tuesday, Dec. 7. In a post on his Mayor Steven Taskay Facebook page, Taskay said he believes Tomahawk is “moving in the right direction.”

“I would like to ask for your support to continue this endeavor,” he stated.

Taskay said that he has begun collecting signatures for his nomination papers, which must be filed with City Hall by 5 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2022.

The Tomahawk Leader reached out to Taskay and Consolver for comment on Friday, Dec. 10, but had not received a response from either candidate as of press time on Monday, Dec. 13.
