Todd A. Kahle

God’s faithful servant, Todd A. Kahle, age 65, of Hartford and Tomahawk, passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with his family by his side.

Todd was born on April 24, 1956 to Joseph and Dorothy (Hilgendorf) Kahle in Tomahawk. He graduated from Tomahawk High School, class of 1974, where he met the love of his life, Polly Postl, and married Dec. 14, 1974 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He worked locally as a milk man and at the paper mill before bringing his new family to Hartford, where he began his lifelong career as an engineer, designing microfilm equipment. His business partner and friend, James Westoby, together founded e-ImageData; those whom he worked with brought further meaning to his work. Todd’s inventions have been granted numerous U.S. patents and industry awards.

Todd and his beloved wife Polly raised four children. He enjoyed helping them with homework and teaching them to believe they could do anything they put their minds to. Tinkering Todd could fix most anything, or would certainly try, sharing his curiosity, ingenuity and craftsmanship with his children. He was a talented woodworker and always kept his home in tip-top shape.

Most importantly, Todd was a faithful servant of Christ. He cherished his church family and almost never missed a weekly church service. He was a member of the church choir for decades. He loved the fellowship of his bowling team. He took the responsibility of a Sunday School and confirmation teacher most serious of all, as he wanted to instill in the younger generation a strong foundation in Christ. He wanted ALL to know God’s love for them and the promise of salvation through Jesus Christ. His faith informed all facets of his life and was always looking for ways to continuously strengthen his faith and inspire others to do the same.

Todd is survived by his wife – Polly, of Hartford; four children – Michael (Natasha) Kahle, Madison, Wis. Eric Kahle, Hartford, Wis., Troy (Sharikate) Kahle, Sandwich, Mass., and Naomi (Tim) Schneider of Merrill, Wis. He also is survived by his parents – Joe and Dorothy Kahle, Tomahawk; brother and sisters – Dana (Myra) Kahle, Union Grove, Wis., Pam (Mark) Czerwinski, Kronnenwetter, Wis., Kim (Michael) McDavitt, Arlington, Va., and Kay (Jeff) Olson, Tomahawk. Todd is further survived by his grandchildren – Tyler and Anthony Kahle, Rider and Adeline Kahle, Alfred and Clara Kahle, Megan, Courtney, Benjamin, Blake, Lucas and Pollyanna Schneider; and his Postl family, Jim, Skip, Mary (Mike) Smith, Barbara (Dean) Hoium, Bob (Bonnie) Postl, Steve Postl, and Gerry (Barb) Postl.
