Edward ‘Ed’ Ostrowski

Edward “Ed” Ostrowski, age 90, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at his home under the care of his family and Compassus Hospice. Ed was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 27, 1931, to the late Steve and Helen (Cieslik) Ostrowski. He was married to Martha West on June 5, 1987; she survives.

Ed attended school and graduated from high school in the Chicago area. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He returned to Illinois, where he entered the workforce at U.S. Steel Corporation, retiring at the age of 59. Ed moved to Wisconsin in 1996 and loved to spend time outdoors fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ostrowski of Tomahawk; his stepson, George Konner, of King, Wis.; his stepdaughters, Tammy Conner, of Tomahawk, and Michelle (James) Russo, also of Tomahawk. Ed is further survived by his grandson, Joey Russo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Helen; and his brother, Val Cieslik.

In accordance with wishes, no formal services will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
