Norman G. Kallas

Norman G. Kallas, age 78, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at his home under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Norm was born on Oct. 16, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Cornelius and Selma (Pastuskiewicz) Kallas. He was married to Barbara Grady on Aug. 29, 1964; she preceded him in death on March 3, 2018.

Norm grew up in the Milwaukee area where he was a 1961 graduate of the Notre Dame High School. After high school, Norm entered the military, proudly serving in the United States Air Force. He returned to Wisconsin, beginning employment at Perfex Corporation and later was the owner and operator of K&P Industrial Equipment. In 2001, Norm and Barb retired to the Northwoods to enjoy his love for the outdoors. He found time to hunt and fish and took great pride in the upkeep of his lawn. His greatest love was that of his family. He was close to his children, grandchildren, and surrounded himself with a wonderful circle of friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Patricia (Wanda Deja) Kallas, of Greenfield, Wis., Cheryl (Mike) Smith, of Waterford, Wis., and Dawn (James) Price, of San Antonio, Tex., and Tomahawk; his 14 grandchildren, Angela De Leon, Ryan (Genna) Salas, Jennifer (Jason) Schwartz, Crystal (Tory) Dziadowics, Chealsea (Jared) Myszewski, Raeann (Max Sharp) Tabor, Calvin (Emily) Londo, Christianna (Donald) Tennyson, Caitlin Eckes, Anthony Price, Tyrease Price, Thatcher Smith, Grayden Smith, Tenley Smith, Jayden Sarnowski, and Liam Cheske; 12 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Logan, Sophia, Paige, Anthony, Kaileigh, Tyler, Harper, Arianna, Danella, Jordan, and Sullivan.

Norm is further survived by his special friends, Tom and Jackie, and Erv and Sherry. He is also survived by countless relatives, friends, and neighbors too numerous to count, but all so close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Selma; his wife, Barbara; his son, Robert; and his brother, Corey.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice.
