Hatchets’ season ends with playoff loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood

WITTENBERG – The Tomahawk Hatchet football team took on Wittenberg-Birnamwood in a road playoff matchup on Friday, Oct. 22 and fell by a score of 54-12, marking the end of their season.

The Chargers had a big first half, scoring three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters to head into halftime with a 42-0 lead. Each team scored six points in the third and fourth quarters, and Wittenberg-Birnamwood sealed the playoff win.

Hatchet quarterback Tyler Jablonski completed five passes on 14 attempts for 15 yards and one interception. Logan Bishop was Tomahawk’s leading rusher with 42 yards on seven carries, while Jake Kaminski had three receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Addison Peissig notched one interception for the Hatchets.
