Hatchet offense struggles in loss to Wisconsin Dells

WISCONSIN DELLS – The Tomahawk Hatchet football team traveled to Wisconsin Dells on Friday, Oct. 8, and fell by a score of 42-6.

Wisconsin Dells had a big first half, scoring all 42 of their points. 14 points came in the first quarter, with an additional 28 scored in the second.

The Hatchets held the Chiefs scoreless for the entire second half, but were only able to score one touchdown in the fourth quarter on a five-yard touchdown run by Brayden Larson. The touchdown was set up by a 44-yard run by Logan Bishop.

Quarterback Tyler Jablonski completed eight passes on 25 attempts, logging 102 yards and one interception.

Bishop’s 44-yard run led the Hatchet ground attack, while Jake Kaminski hauled in five passes for 85 yards.

Mason Evans intercepted one pass for the Hatchets.

Tomahawk will visit Oconto Falls to take on the Panthers on Friday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Playoffs are set to begin the following week, with the Hatchets’ opponent yet to be determined.
