Ceremony will be held at Tomahawk location on Oct. 18

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Park City Credit Union will dedicate the community room at its Tomahawk branch in memory of Dr. Bobbi Voermans.

Park City invited the public, credit union officials and members, and civic leaders to the ceremony, which will be held at the credit union, 1213 N. 4th St., Tomahawk, on Monday, Oct. 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5 p.m.

The Dr. Bobbi Voermans Community Room will be used by nonprofits, businesses, and other community organizations in need of meeting or event space, Park City said, noting that Voermans appreciated the impact nonprofits and community organizations had on her community.

Voermans served on the Park City Board of Directors for seven years, until her unexpected passing on July 9.

“Park City will dedicate its community room in memory of the late board member’s commitment and care,” Park City said.

In addition to serving on Park City’s Board of Directors, Voermans operated two chiropractic offices in Tomahawk and Rhinelander and was a member of Kinship of Tomahawk’s Board of Directors.

“She devoted her life to improving the health and well-being of others,” Park City stated.

“Over the past several months, we have become aware of how many people Bobbi impacted,” Park City CEO Val Mindak said. “Although we make this dedication with great sadness, we honor a visionary leader who encouraged everyone she met to have their best day.”

Mindak said the Park City branches are collecting donations for Kinship in memory of Voermans. A wish list for the nonprofit can also be found at www.kinshiptomahawk.org/wish-list/.

Reservations for the community room may be made by filling out the request form on the Park City website at www.parkcitycu.org/community-room.
