TEAPIE cancels 10th annual Careers on Wheels event

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Extended Area Partners in Education (TEAPIE) announced on Thursday, Sept. 30 that it had cancelled its 10th annual Careers on Wheels event scheduled for Friday, Oct. 8 “due to safety considerations and in the best interest of those involved.”

TEAPIE said it will “review for future dates and considerations.”

“Fingers crossed we are able to provide this wonderful opportunity for our students,” said Jennifer Turkiewicz of TEAPIE. “Thank you to those that had responded and signed up. We greatly appreciate the continued support of TEAPIE and our initiatives.”

“Careers on Wheels is an event where children learn about different types of careers involving vehicles,” TEAPIE previously stated. “We feel it is important to expose children of all ages to different careers. Careers on Wheels will allow kids to see the vehicles up close and personal, talk to the professionals, and have fun while doing it.”
